Gateau

Gateau is a contemporary cat tree for feline wellness brand Modkat as a part of RIT's annual design challenge Metaproject. I set out to design an accessible, attractive cat tree which seamlessly works for Modkat's design language and business model.

Who is Modkat?

Modkat is a feline wellness brand based out of NYC. Their debut litter box released in 2009 and was met with critical acclaim and customer satisfaction. Shortly thereafter, it received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award. And with that, the Modkat journey to create an entirely new category of litter boxes inspired by design began.

Now, Modkat asked RIT students to imagine the next product for their brand, requiring sensitivity to design language and business model.
